TUZAK

TDK Genel Sözlüğünde “Tuzak: Birini güç ve tehlikeli bir duruma düşürmek için kurulan düzen, komplo” olarak tanımlanır.

Görmenin sadece retinal bir eylem olmadığını aynı zamanda nesnenin fiziksel özellikleri üzerinden diğer duyularımızı da sezgisel olarak harekete geçirdiğini vurgulayan Pallasmaa’da olduğu gibi “Tuzak” adlı bu çalışmada izleyiciye gösterilenin, gözün gördüğünün ötesinde farklı ilişkilerinin de sorgulanması amaçlanmıştır. İzleyiciyi genelde düştüğü “optik tuzak”tan sıyırmayı hedefleyen bu çalışmada  görünenin dışında ortaya çıkarılması gereken gerçeklik vurgulanmıştır.

TRAP

In TDK Dictionary “Trap” defined as “conspiracy or setting in order to put someone in a hard or dangerous situation”.

As it is indicated in Pallasmaa, seeing is not only an optical act but also it is a stimulant that activates our other senses in the level of perception through physical properties of objects. In this work titled as “Trap”, it is aimed that beyond seeing different relation of the displayed object should be questioned by the viewer. This work’s target is to keep the viewer away from “the optical trap” in which the s/he generally falls, thus the truth which should be revealed is emphasized instead of visible.
